OUR SCHOOL 

International School Suva Primary was founded in 1973 and is entirely independent and non-profit making, controlled by a School Council representing parents, teachers and the community.  ISS offers primary and secondary education.  The current primary enrolment is 330 and approximately 30% of our enrolment is made up of Fiji citizens and the remainder of the school community consists of at least 40 nationalities from around the world.  By occupation, the parents represent foreign business and banking interests, diplomatic missions, aid agencies and local professional and business people.

In line with the school mission at ISS, we believe that all students have a natural passion for learning and are inquisitive and responsive to learning opportunities. Our aim is to provide opportunities for students to be involved in authentic learning and provide experiences that allow all students to be excited by learning and successful in the future.  Our education approach inspires learners to become engaged, socially responsible individuals with an understanding of their responsibilities within their local community and as active global citizens. This is highlighted by the importance we place on student action. Students at ISS International School take action with what they’ve learnt and use it to improve both their lives and those of others.

In order to come together and celebrate our community, ISS International School has a number of events during the course of the year. These events allow the whole community to celebrate the many things that make ISS International School an exceptional place to live and learn.
